ZDnet 에서 "Google to music industry. 'we're already in the music business'" 제목의 기사가 있어 읽어봤습니다. 무슨 소리인지 정확히는 알 수 없지만(영어라서!!!), 간단히 "Google Talk"를 이용해서 구글이 뮤직트렌드 서비스를 하고 있다는 것 입니다.

Music Trends is a snapshot of the music that's popular right now among Google Talklisteners. Every Talk user who has opted in to Music Trends will casttheir vote automatically, each time they listen to music on theircomputer. We'll gather this information and display the trends bygenre, listing the favorite songs and artists in each category.

음악 스트리밍 서비스를 하는 것이 아니라, Google Talk를 사용하는 유저들이 Google Talk를 통하여 들은 노래의 순위를 매기며, 노래에 대한 가사와 간단한 앨범소개를 같이 하고 있습니다. -Google Talk update되면서 새로 생긴 기능입니다.
